About GEM Neurology, PLLC

Adult Neurologist & Movement Disorder Specialist located in Clinton, TN

At GEM Neurology, Dr. Zayas provides specialized expertise in diagnosing and managing a range of neurological conditions, including movement disorders (such as Parkinson's disease, essential tremor, dystonia), epilepsy, chronic migraines, stroke recovery, and various types of dementia. His personalized approach to neurology ensures that each treatment plan is tailored to meet the individual needs, symptoms, and goals of his patients, leading to improved quality of life and long-term health outcomes.

Our practice uses cutting-edge diagnostic tools, including the Syn-One Test®—a clinical tool aiding in the identification of neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s disease, multiple system atrophy, and dementia with Lewy bodies. As part of a comprehensive evaluation process, the Syn-One Test® works in tandem with clinical assessments and patient history to provide an accurate diagnosis.

In addition to diagnostics, we offer a range of advanced treatments, including:

  • Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) Programming for Advanced Parkinson's Disease
  • Occipital Nerve Blocks and Trigger Point Injections for headache and pain management
  • Botulinum Toxin Injections (Xeomin®, Botox®, Myobloc®, Daxxify™), often guided by electromyography (EMG) for precision targeting in spasticity and dystonia treatment.

Our medication management approach aims to optimize neurological health, minimize symptoms, and prevent disease progression.

GEM Neurology collaborates closely with physical, speech, and occupational therapists, as well as providers of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), to offer a holistic approach that addresses both physical and cognitive aspects of neurological conditions.

With extensive training and certifications, Dr. Zayas is uniquely equipped to support his patients’ physical, mental, and emotional well-being. We warmly welcome new and returning patients to experience the GEM Neurology difference.
